STAPLES Center SAFE

We have missed you and are thrilled to welcome you back to STAPLES Center! The health and safety of our guests, athletes, performers, and team members is our number one priority. We have worked closely with state and local health officials to responsibly and thoughtfully implement new safety protocols to provide you not only a safe, but enjoyable experience. While it may be a bit a different from the last time you joined us, we look forward to giving you a reason to cheer and creating unforgettable memories with you, once again.

Be sure to check back here as information is updated often.

Health Verification

A health verification is required for all ticketed guests. Guests are required to present a photo ID, and either proof of full vaccination (two weeks since your final dose) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event date. Remember, if you’re not feeling well, please stay home!

Face Coverings Required

Guests over the age of 2 are required to wear a face covering that covers both the nose and mouth at all times. Gaiters, bandanas, and coverings with exhalation vents are prohibited; a face shield still requires a face covering. For the safety of everyone, guests unable to wear proper face coverings will not be admitted into the venue.

No Bags

Bags and purses of any size are not permitted, including backpacks, clutches, totes, clear bags, and camera bags. Only bring necessary items that fit in your pocket. Wallets without chains/straps are allowed.

Keep Your Distance

Practice safe physical distancing of at least 6 feet from others not in your household. We’ve added spacing markers and wayfinding signage to help you maintain a safe distance.

We’re Fans of Clean Hands

Clean your hands often by washing with soap water for 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer. There are touchless hand sanitizer stations, faucets, paper towel dispensers, and soap dispensers throughout the venue.

Cashless

STAPLES Center is a fully cash-free venue that only accepts debit and credit cards, including major contactless and mobile payment methods, for a safe and speedy check out. We no longer accept cash. If you do not have an accepted cashless method of payment, "Cash to Card" conversion kiosks are free of charge and located throughout the venue.

No Smoking

STAPLES Center is now a smoke-free venue.

GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation

Because your health and safety are our top priority, we’ve made many upgrades and enhancements to ensure that all of STAPLES Center, even the air that you breathe, meets or exceeds industry standards to guarantee STAPLES Center is the safest and most hygienic it can be. We use Atmos Air and BluEco technology to purify the air inside the arena, and MERV-15 air filters which exceed the current standards. High-touch surfaces and heavily trafficked areas are continuously disinfected, and all spaces undergo a rigorous disinfection and cleaning after every event. We’re proud that these improvements have earned us the highest level of GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation as determined by the world’s most respected venue industry cleaning association.

Thank you for doing your part by following all our new health and safety procedures. Let’s continue to keep each other healthy as we navigate through this reopening process as responsibly as we can.

COVID-19 Assumption of Risk

In-person public gatherings and events carry an inherent higher risk of exposure to COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease. Prior to attending a public gathering or event, please learn more about the risks involved and evaluate your individual risk level. In particular, vulnerable individuals, such as certain older adults and those with certain pre-existing health conditions, who have an increased risk for severe illness or death, need to take extra precautions against COVID-19.

Guests understand that (a) the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation or variation thereof, “COVID-19”) is extremely contagious and there is an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any place where people are present, including without limitation, STAPLES Center; (b) no precautions, including any protocols that may be implemented by STAPLES Center or the teams that play in STAPLES Center, any other professional teams or leagues, the NHL, the NBA, the WNBA, caterer, any lender to STAPLES Center, and any of the respective STAPLES Center or event sponsors or promoters and/or other third parties (such as by federal and state governmental agencies) (collectively, the “COVID-19 Protocols”), can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19; (c) the risks of exposure to COVID-19 are increased by proximity to other people;  (d) there is no guarantee, express or implied, that Guests and any of her/his guests will not be exposed to COVID-19 (e) people of all ages and health conditions, including healthy young people, have been adversely affected by COVID-19; (f) certain people have been identified by public health authorities as having greater risk based on their age or underlying medical conditions; and (g) exposure to COVID-19 can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, and other short-term and long-term health effects, including death, regardless of a person’s age or health condition.  Guests also acknowledge that the COVID-19 Protocols may prove inadequate to prevent the exposure and transmission of COVID-19 and that it is possible that from time to time persons present at STAPLES Center or at any locations in which the events may be held or where people are gathered, may not comply fully with the COVID-19 Protocols.  Guests understand that the implementation of the COVID-19 Protocols does not guarantee that guests and their guests will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 as a result of their attendance at STAPLES Center or pass COVID-19 on to others, including Guests and other family members of Guests.  Guests understand and knowingly and voluntarily assume all such COVID-19 related risks related to attending, traveling to and from Events at STAPLES Center.  Those risks may include an increased risk of exposure to illness (including, but not limited to, COVID-19), personal injury, disability, and other short-term or long-term health effects including death, which might result not only from Guests’ own actions, inactions or negligence, but from the actions, inactions or negligence of any of the Released Parties (as defined below).  Guests accept that they have personal responsibility for any and all of their respective costs and expenses, damages, liability, and other losses that Guests, or any of their respective heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, next of kin or other persons acting or claiming to act on behalf of Guests (the “Related Persons”),  may incur in connection with the risks described above.

Guests agree to follow STAPLES Center health and safety policies, as well as all applicable Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidance, local, state and federal orders, regulations and ordinances pertaining to health and safety at all times while at STAPLES Center.
