We're thrilled to welcome you back to STAPLES Center! The health and safety of our guests, athletes, performers, and team members is our number one priority. We have worked closely with state and local health officials to responsibly and thoughtfully implement new safety protocols to provide you not only a safe, but enjoyable experience. Health Verification

By entering STAPLES Center, you agree to follow the current California Department of Public Health Guidelines for Indoor Mega Events. All guests age 2 and over are required to present either proof of full vaccination (two weeks since your final dose) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event date. Remember, if you’re not feeling well, please stay home!

Proof of Full Vaccination

Proof of full vaccination, showing that the attendee has received, more than two weeks prior to the event, either: (i) the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or (ii) a dose of the single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson/Janssen). The following are acceptable forms of proof of full vaccination: attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination record (i.e. CDC-provided white vaccination card or WHO-provided yellow vaccination card); OR a photo of attendee’s vaccination card as a separate document; OR a photo of attendee’s vaccine card stored on attendee’s mobile device or electronic device; OR documentation of the attendee’s full vaccination status against COVID-19 from a healthcare provider (on a mobile app, paper document, digital wallet card). 

Vaccination records must clearly show the name of the vaccinated attendee, type of COVID-19 vaccine administered, and date(s) of each dose administered.  

Proof of Negative Result

Proof of negative result from either a PCR or antigen COVID-19 viral test, taken within 72 hours of the event and with results available prior to entry into the venue. The following are acceptable as proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test result: a printed document (from the test provider or laboratory) showing test result; OR an electronic test result (email, text message, or mobile application record) displayed on attendee’s phone or mobile device.

Test results must clearly show the name of the tested attendee, type of test performed, date of the test, and the negative test result.


 

Bag Policy

Bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags are not allowed.

 

Small clutches and wallets smaller than 5” x 9” x 1” are permitted and are subject to security inspection.

 

Medical and parental bags smaller than 14” x 14” x 6” are required to go through an X-Ray machine security screening. Please see a Guest Services team member on site for direction to the nearest screening entry.

Face Coverings Required

Guests over the age of 2 are required to wear a face covering that covers both the nose and mouth at all times, unless actively eating or drinking. Gaiters, bandanas, and coverings with exhalation vents are prohibited; a face shield still requires a face covering. For the safety of everyone, guests unable to wear proper face coverings will not be admitted into the venue.

Mobile Ticketing & Entry Process

All ticketed guests will be asked to have their tickets to the event on their mobile device.

We’re Fans of Clean Hands

Clean your hands often by washing with soap and water for 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer. There are touchless hand sanitizer stations, faucets, paper towel dispensers, and soap dispensers throughout the venue.

Cashless

STAPLES Center is a fully cash-free venue that only accepts debit and credit cards, including major contactless and mobile payment methods, for a safe and speedy check out. We no longer accept cash. If you do not have an accepted cashless method of payment, "Cash to Card" conversion kiosks are free of charge and located throughout the venue.

Mobile Ordering Food & Beverage

All guests will be asked to order any food and beverage throughout the arena using the QR Code located at the concession stand or the QR located at your seat. We will let you know when the order is ready for pick up via SMS Text. Pick up your food and beverage at the designated pick up location, and enjoy!

 

No Smoking

STAPLES Center is now a smoke-free venue.

GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation

Because your health and safety are our top priority, we’ve made many upgrades and enhancements to ensure that all of STAPLES Center, even the air that you breathe, meets or exceeds industry standards to guarantee STAPLES Center is the safest and most hygienic it can be. We use Atmos Air and BluEco technology to purify the air inside the arena, and MERV-15 air filters which exceed the current standards. High-touch surfaces and heavily trafficked areas are continuously disinfected, and all spaces undergo a rigorous disinfection and cleaning after every event. We’re proud that these improvements have earned us the highest level of GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation as determined by the world’s most respected venue industry cleaning association.

CA Department of Public Health Mega Event Updates

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective as of September 20, 2021, the California and Los Angeles County Departments of Public Health will require all indoor venues that host crowds with more than 1,000 attendees, including STAPLES Center, to verify the full vaccination status or a pre-entry negative COVID-19 viral test result of all attendees prior to their entry into such indoor venue.

 

Accordingly, in order to enter STAPLES Center at any time, all persons ages 2 and older are required to present one of the following:

  • Proof of full vaccination, showing that the attendee has received, more than two weeks prior to the event, either: (i) the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or (ii) a dose of the single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson /Janssen). The following are acceptable as proof of full vaccination:
  1. attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination record (CDC provided white vaccination card or WHO provided yellow vaccination card,); OR
  2. a photo of attendee’s vaccination card as a separate document; OR
  3. a photo of attendee’s vaccine card stored on attendee’s mobile device or electronic device; OR

If you believe you need an accommodation regarding the foregoing requirements because of a disability, medical condition or sincerely-held religious belief, you are responsible for requesting a reasonable accommodation in advance by contacting STAPLES Center Guest Services at [email protected] AEG will engage in the interactive process to explore potential reasonable accommodations unless doing so would create an undue hardship for AEG or its business operations or such accommodation poses a direct threat to the health and safety of the attendee or other attendants and personnel in the venue. AEG is not required to make the specific accommodation requested by the attendee and may provide an alternative, effective accommodation, to the extent any accommodation can be made without imposing an undue hardship on AEG’s business.

Attendees are responsible for adhering to all other applicable public health and safety orders, including Los Angeles County Department of Public Health requirement that all patrons, customers and guests at indoor venues to wear face masks while inside at all indoor settings including “Indoor Mega Events” – regardless of an attendee’s vaccination status. Such attendees and working personnel age 2 and over are required to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and mouth at all times, unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas. Gaiters, bandanas, and coverings with exhalation vents are prohibited. If attendees are unable to wear masks due to communication difficulties or certain disabilities, a face shield may be worn without a face mask but with a cloth drape attached to the bottom edge of the face shield. For the safety of everyone, individuals unable to wear a authorized face coverings will not be admitted into the venue.

 

The foregoing remains subject to change and/or further modifications based on changing circumstances, including the issuance of any further local or state health orders or any changes in venue policies and procedures. 

 

COVID-19 Assumption of Risk

In-person public gatherings and events carry an inherent higher risk of exposure to COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease. Prior to attending a public gathering or event, please learn more about the risks involved and evaluate your individual risk level. In particular, vulnerable individuals, such as certain older adults and those with certain pre-existing health conditions, who have an increased risk for severe illness or death, need to take extra precautions against COVID-19.

Guests understand that (a) the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation or variation thereof, “COVID-19”) is extremely contagious and there is an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any place where people are present, including without limitation, STAPLES Center; (b) no precautions, including any protocols that may be implemented by STAPLES Center or the teams that play in STAPLES Center, any other professional teams or leagues, the NHL, the NBA, the WNBA, caterer, any lender to STAPLES Center, and any of the respective STAPLES Center or event sponsors or promoters and/or other third parties (such as by federal and state governmental agencies) (collectively, the “COVID-19 Protocols”), can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19; (c) the risks of exposure to COVID-19 are increased by proximity to other people;  (d) there is no guarantee, express or implied, that Guests and any of her/his guests will not be exposed to COVID-19 (e) people of all ages and health conditions, including healthy young people, have been adversely affected by COVID-19; (f) certain people have been identified by public health authorities as having greater risk based on their age or underlying medical conditions; and (g) exposure to COVID-19 can result in being subject to quarantine requirements, illness, disability, and other short-term and long-term health effects, including death, regardless of a person’s age or health condition.  Guests also acknowledge that the COVID-19 Protocols may prove inadequate to prevent the exposure and transmission of COVID-19 and that it is possible that from time to time persons present at STAPLES Center or at any locations in which the events may be held or where people are gathered, may not comply fully with the COVID-19 Protocols.  Guests understand that the implementation of the COVID-19 Protocols does not guarantee that guests and their guests will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 as a result of their attendance at STAPLES Center or pass COVID-19 on to others, including Guests and other family members of Guests.  Guests understand and knowingly and voluntarily assume all such COVID-19 related risks related to attending, traveling to and from Events at STAPLES Center.  Those risks may include an increased risk of exposure to illness (including, but not limited to, COVID-19), personal injury, disability, and other short-term or long-term health effects including death, which might result not only from Guests’ own actions, inactions or negligence, but from the actions, inactions or negligence of any of the Released Parties (as defined below).  Guests accept that they have personal responsibility for any and all of their respective costs and expenses, damages, liability, and other losses that Guests, or any of their respective heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, next of kin or other persons acting or claiming to act on behalf of Guests (the “Related Persons”),  may incur in connection with the risks described above.

Guests agree to follow STAPLES Center health and safety policies, as well as all applicable Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidance, local, state and federal orders, regulations and ordinances pertaining to health and safety at all times while at STAPLES Center. Health and safety policies may be posted throughout STAPLES Center as well as on tickets.

 

"Released Parties” shall mean L.A. Arena Company, LLC, L.A. Arena Land Company, LLC, Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc, The Los Angeles Lakers, Inc., LA Clippers, LLC, The Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club, L.P., LA Sports Partners, LLC or any other teams that play in STAPLES Center, any other professional teams or leagues, the NHL, the NBA, the WNBA, caterer, any lender to STAPLES Center, and any of the respective STAPLES Center or event sponsors or promoters and/or other affiliates third parties thereof.

COVID-19 Vaccinated Guests

Thank you for keeping STAPLES Center Safe and for helping to stop the pandemic by getting the COVID-19 vaccination. Vaccinated guests must continue to follow health and safety guidelines, including, wearing a mask over your nose and mouth and washing your hands often.

 

It’s important for everyone to continue using all the tools available to help stop this pandemic as we learn more about how COVID-19 vaccines work in real-world conditions. Additional information can be found on the CDC’s website - Key Things to Know About COVID-19 Vaccines.

Security Screening

Entry procedures for all guests remain contactless between guests and team members. You will be directed to place small metal objects in a plastic bin lined with Nanoseptic (anti-microbial) film and walk through a metal detector. Staff will not touch personal belongings and you will be directed to retrieve items from the bin yourself.

STAPLES Center SAFE Tips

  • Access your digital ticket in advance and use it to plan your arrival location and/or time.
  • Only bring necessary items that fit in your pocket. Remember STAPLES Center is a cashless venue and bags are not permitted. 
  • Bring your face covering and wear it as soon as you arrive.
