STAPLES CENTER'S 25 MILLIONTH FAN HONORED

(April 26, 2007) - A surprised and delighted Michael Yang, 27, was presented with a STAPLES Center grand prize package, valued at nearly $40,000, after he was randomly selected to represent the 25 million fans who have visited the downtown Los Angeles arena since it opened October 17th, 1999. Yang, attending this evening's Los Angeles Lakers playoff game received the prize package during a halftime ceremony which included two STAPLES Center Premiere (season) Seats and parking for the entire 2007-2008 season, a $4,000 dining gift certificate from Levy Restaurants, a $500 credit at STAPLES Center's TEAM LA merchandise store and a $500 gift certificate from Ticketmaster to apply towards attending upcoming concerts at STAPLES Center.
Lee Zeidman, General Manager of STAPLES Center was joined by the arena's 'most famous fan' Jack Nicholson to help select Yang from among four other randomly selected fans who received runners-up prizes including gift certificates to STAPLES Center's Team LA store and from Ticketmaster.
Yang, a financial consultant and resident of La Mirada and a "life time Lakers fan" estimated that tonight was his tenth visit to a STAPLES Center event, having purchased tonight's ticket online. "It was a dream come true," said Yang. "When my wife and I came to STAPLES Center tonight I happened to tell her that some day I hope we can have season tickets. Now we do, it is amazing!"

Beginning with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's opening night concert on October 17, 1999, guests have come to the AEG owned and operated STAPLES Center to attend a schedule of prestigious concerts, sports events, family shows and other major attractions unmatched by any arena.
As the home of five professional sports franchises -- the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, the AFL's Los Angeles Avengers and the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks -- STAPLES Center has proven to be a home court advantage for the local teams. The Lakers capped-off each of their first three seasons at STAPLES Center by winning NBA Championships (the 12th, 13th and 14th in franchise history) while the Sparks captured back-to-back WNBA Championships in their first two STAPLES Center campaigns.

STAPLES Center has hosted 724 National Basketball Association regular season and/or playoff games in its' eight year exisistence. It has also seen over 325 National Hockey League regular season and/or playoff games, and has hosted over 150 live concerts.
