KINGS ANNOUNCE 2005 PRESEASON SCHEDULE

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings today announced their preseason schedule for the 2005-06 NHL season. The Kings will play eight games, including three at STAPLES Center: September 17 versus the Mighty Ducks (7:30 p.m.), September 25 versus the Phoenix Coyotes (7:30 p.m.) and September 27 versus the San Jose Sharks (7:30 p.m.).

In addition to the three home games at STAPLES Center, the Kings will also host the Colorado Avalanche on September 24 (at 7:30 p.m.) in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena as part of "Frozen Fury 8." The schedule also features road games at San Jose (September 18), at Phoenix (September 20), at Colorado (September 29) and at Anaheim (September 30).

All tickets for the September 17 game at STAPLES Center are free of charge (details to come at a later date). Tickets for the other two games at STAPLES Center will go on sale on Saturday, August 13, at 10 a.m. and are available for purchase via TicketMaster and the STAPLES Center box office for $24.50, $30.50, $52.50, $65.50, $87.50 and $115.50.

Tickets for the Las Vegas game go on sale Saturday, August 13 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased via TicketMaster, the MGM Grand Garden Box Office and by calling 702-474-4000. Ticket prices for this game are: $20, $30, $50 and $65.

The September 17 Kings-Mighty Ducks game at STAPLES Center also includes a special "Futures" game with the young Kings and Mighty Ducks facing off at 4 p.m. A "Futures" game will also be played in San Jose on September 18 (beginning at 2 p.m.) prior to that night's regular Kings-Sharks contest.
