AVENGERS SWITCH DAY OF REGULAR SEASON HOME FINALE

Jun 2, 2008

Game against Kansas City at STAPLES Center will be played on Saturday, June 14

LOS ANGELES -- In their regular-season home finale, the Los Angeles Avengers will host the Kansas City Brigade on Saturday, June 14, at STAPLES Center. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. The game, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, June 15, at 3:30 p.m., had to be moved up a day due to Game 5 (if necessary) of the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. If either the Lakers or Celtics win the NBA title in a four-game sweep, the Avengers will still battle the Brigade on the rescheduled date and time (Saturday, June 14, at 3:30 p.m.).

Tickets are available at the STAPLES Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at laavengers.com or by calling 1-888-AVENGERS.

In their next game, the Avengers (4-9) will travel to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Blaze (4-10) on Monday, June 9. Kickoff at the EnergySolutions Arena is set for 7 p.m. (PT) and the game will be televised live on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD. The contest carries heavy playoff implications as both Los Angeles and Utah are fighting to be among the six American Conference teams earning berths into the 2008 Arena Football League Playoffs.

Following the re-scheduled home game against Kansas City, the Avengers will close out the regular season on the road against the Tampa Bay Storm on Saturday, June 21.
