ALL 20,000 TICKETS DISTRIBUTED FOR WORLD CUP VEIWING: KOREA VS. FRANCE ON JUNE 18 AT NOON AT STAPLES CENTER
Jun 14, 2006CARSON, CA (Wednesday, June 14, 2006) - AEG, the Los Angeles Galaxy and the 2006 Korean World Cup Cheering Committee are proud to announce that once again based on the tremendous demand, all 20,000 tickets have been distributed to fans wanting to attend Sunday's viewing party at STAPLES Center at noon when Korea will take on France in their second game of the 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament, live from Germany.
Currently, Korea leads France, Switzerland and Togo with three points in Group G, following their 2-1 come from behind victory over Togo on Tuesday.
The game will be shown live on the arena's 1200 television monitors including the four giant 16 x 13 foot Mitsubishi Diamondvision scoreboard screens. As was the case in 2002, nearly all fans who attended the "biggest viewing party held on U.S. soil" came dressed entirely in red to root for the team from Korea, known as the "Red Wave."
During the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the Galaxy, AEG and the Los Angeles Korean American community teamed up to host a viewing party of Korea's bronze medal match on June 29, 2002. More than 20,000 fans attended the 3:00 a.m. event to watch the game.

STAPLES Center Parking Lots C, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 and # 11 will open starting at 8:00 a.m.
