STAPLES Center management is dedicated to providing an exciting and memorable guest experience while ensuring the safety and security of all Guests. The following guide provides information and policies/rules for attending any STAPLES Center event. These policies apply to all guests. Guests who violate any of the policies will be escorted by security out of the arena. Additionally, STAPLES Center management reserves the right to suspend season ticket privileges for guests who do not comply with these event policies.

For safety and as a courtesy to other guests, aisles must be kept clear at all times. Please follow the directions of the usher in your section to your assigned ticketed seat and refrain from standing in the aisles.
STAPLES Center and its food and beverage concessionaires have adopted an alcohol policy that is designed to protect Guests and the community from alcohol-related incidents. In addition to our responsible alcohol service guidelines below, STAPLES Center offers the Good Sport designated driver program at most major sporting events.
Guests are expected to obey all state and local laws governing the purchase, possession, and consumption of alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. In addition, the following items are to be noted:
Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited with the exception of service animals for guests with disabilities and/or special needs. Services animals are welcomed into the building and must remain on a leash or harness at all times. If you intend to bring a service animal into the building, please contact the Guest Services department prior to your arrival.

For our guests' convenience, most of STAPLES Center concession stands, bars, and merchandise kiosks accept all major credit cards, including American Express.
All bags larger than 14"; square, i.e. backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the arena.
Guests are welcome to bring their personal binoculars for most events at STAPLES Center. Binocular rentals are available for most concerts.
No commercial or flash photography of any kind is permitted. Camcorders or any other audio/visual equipment is prohibited unless authorized by team/promoter or performer. Specifically, the use of the following equipment is not permitted:
For all sporting events and most concerts, children 2 years of age and younger will be admitted into STAPLES Center without a ticket provided that they sit on an adult's lap and do not occupy a seat. Any child 3 years of age and older will require a ticket to enter the arena. Please note that some shows (especially those intended for children) will have a different age policy. STAPLES Center arena staff has been trained to intervene when deemed necessary and to use their best discretion to help ensure that guests who ignore the Code of Conduct do not interfere with other guests' ability to enjoy an event. Guests who violate the Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without refund and, to the extent their conduct constitutes a violation of law, may be subject to arrest. Season ticket holders may also be subject to having their season subscription revoked. We thank you for your cooperation.

All Guests must maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Guests using offensive language or engaging in disorderly conduct may be ejected from the facility and may be subject to arrest. Ejected Guests will not receive a refund for their tickets or be compensated in any way for their loss.

The time the doors to STAPLES Center open will vary according to the event. See specific team door times below (all door times are subject to change). Typically doors will open 1½ hours prior to the event time noted on your ticket. Main Entrances into STAPLES Center are located at Figueroa Street, 11th Street, and Star Plaza. VIP entrances (Star Plaza VIP and Southwest VIP) are available exclusively to our Luxury Suite and Premier Seat ticketed guests. All guests in attendance are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times for their own safety. STAPLES Center management reserves the right to deny entry to guests wearing clothing items displaying offensive text and/or images.
STAPLES Center works on a continuing basis with the Los Angeles City Fire Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, and other agencies in the development of specific Emergency Procedures Plans for each event. STAPLES Center recognizes that its goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable atmosphere. The use of installed automated security systems, appropriate security operating plans, trained guest services and security personnel will ensure the security and safety of all guests, performers, and employees at STAPLES Center. In the case of an emergency, Guests must comply with requests from venue staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.
All Guests entering the arena during an event are subject to a metal-detector screening, visual inspection, and a bag inspection conducted by STAPLES Center security personnel. The purpose of the inspection is to detect prohibited items.
All restrooms facilities at STAPLES Center are wheelchair accessible and are clearly marked. In addition, we have unisex/family restrooms available in five locations: on the main concourse across from aisle M23, on suite levels A, B, and C across from suite A1, B1, and C3 respectively, and on the upper concourse across from U31.
Trained emergency medical technicians (EMT) personnel are available to assist any guest in need at every STAPLES Center event. First Aid offices are located on the Main Concourse across from aisle M3 and on the upper concourse across from aisle U19. In addition, STAPLES Center is equipped with Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) located in various locations throughout the facility. Designated employees, including our EMT staff, have been properly trained and certified to use the AED. In the event of a medical emergency, contact a member of our Guest Services or Security staff for assistance.
Please visit our Concessions Guide for information on food and beverage services. Guests may not bring food and/or beverage items into the arena during events. The only exception is unopened plastic water bottles, one liter or smaller. Glass bottles or metal cans are strictly prohibited. Guests must dispose of the unauthorized items prior to entrance into the arena or return them to their vehicle. Guest Link Service Centers will not check-in or store any food or beverage items. Guest with specific/special dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should contact the Guest Services department.

Our Guest Link Center is located on the Main Concourse across from aisle M12 and on the Upper Concourse across from aisle U6 and is designed to provide information to guests with questions, concerns, or issues during STAPLES Center events. In addition, the Guest Link Center provides assistance to Guests with disabilities (see Disabled Services). STAPLES Center reserves the right to deny entry to intoxicated guests. Any intoxicated Guests causing a disturbance during an event will be asked to leave the facility and may be subject to arrest.
STAPLES Center is equipped with a "Listen" assisted listening device (ALD) system. Receivers are available for most events and are provided free of charge with a valid form of identification from the Guest Link Center located on the Main Concourse across from aisle M12. Also see Disabled Services.
STAPLES Center management assumes no responsibility for items lost at events. All lost and found items are taken to Guest Link Centers during events. Guests should visit the Guest Link Centers on the main and upper concourses during the event to inquire about lost items. After the conclusion of the event, if the lost item is not retrieved, guests may contact STAPLES Center Guest Services at (213) 742-7326 to inquire about the lost item.
Laptops or any type of personal computers will not be admitted inside STAPLES Center.
To inquire about singing the National Anthem at any event at STAPLES Center, please contact the individual teams via their websites. Each team makes all arrangements for National Anthem singers for their home games at STAPLES Center.
STAPLES Center has a "no re-entry" policy during events. Guests who wish to return a prohibited item to their vehicle or need to exit and re-enter due to personal emergencies, must first make contact with a Guest Services supervisor or manager via the Guest Link service centers to make necessary arrangements.
The following is a partial list of items that are prohibited at all STAPLES Center events. Please visit the links below for specific policies/information.
Guests may not bring audio or video recording devices into the arena. These devices include, but are not limited to, video cameras/camcorders and audio recording devices. Any equipment not conforming to these rules must be removed from the premises or left with the Guest Link Service Center on the Main Concourse during the event.

Seating capacities vary for every STAPLES Center event. For basketball, the capacity is 19,079; for hockey it is 18,118. For concerts and other special events, the capacity nears 20,000 guests, depending on the set-up of the event.
STAPLES Center is pleased to provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing impairments. Requests for this service must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event and may be arranged through our Guest Services department. Please contact Guest Services to arrange this service. Unless otherwise specified by teams and/or event officials/management, STAPLES Center welcomes guests bringing small signs, flags, banners, and posters inside the building to show fan support during events. The following guidelines relate to these items:
Guests are not allowed to hand out pamphlets, advertisement brochures, etc. to other guests while inside the building, without prior approval from STAPLES Center management.
Smoking is not permitted in the arena at any time; however, a smoking section is available on the City View Terrace outside patio. City View Terrace is located on the Upper Concourse across from aisles U25-U28.
Strollers are not permitted in the seating sections of the arena; however, strollers may be checked into our Guest Link Service Center, located across from aisle M12 on the main concourse. Guests are encouraged to leave strollers in their vehicles prior to arrival at the arena entrance.
The resale of tickets ("scalping") is against the law and will not be permitted in and around the property of STAPLES Center. Violators will be reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. In addition, in accordance with the Los Angeles Municipal code, guests may not sell their unused tickets to others in and around STAPLES Center.
Los Angeles Municipal Code SEC. 42.03 states: "No person in or upon any public street, sidewalk, or other public place shall sell or re-sell or offer to sell or re-sell any ticket of admission to a place of public assemblage. No person in or upon any place which is open to the public shall sell or re-sell or offer to sell or re-sell any ticket of admission to a place of public assemblage."
To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen or voided tickets, Guests should make your purchases through authorized outlets only.

STAPLES Center is home to four major professional sports team and hosts numerous concerts, award shows, and special events year-round. Due to our event schedule, we are unable to offer tours of the building.
Guests, including law enforcement personnel not present in an official capacity, are prohibited from bringing weapons into the arena. STAPLES Center does not provide weapon lockers. Weapons may not be checked in at Guest Services. Weapons include, but are not limited to, the following: firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, pepper spray, tear gas, knives, etc. Guests found in possession of the above-mentioned items will be asked to remove the item from the arena or dispose of it. Guests who refuse to comply will be ejected from the arena and may be subject to arrest.
Our Guest Service Link Center provides complimentary wheelchair escorts to Guests with special needs when requested. Escorts are available at any entry point or Guests may make advance escort arrangements by contacting the Guest Services department. Also see Disabled Services.
